Caylin has been home on summer break for a week. The last time she was home from college was during the holidays. You would think that the six months in between seeing each other that she and Lexi would be able to get along for more than a day.
Wrong.
You would also think that the nine year age difference would also play a part in ‘loving’ one another since there’s no stealing sharing clothes, make up, shoes, etc.
Wrong.
Being the oldest of FIVE girls, I get that you don’t always get along. There are fights over hairbrushes, gravy, boys, etc. I get it.
But what I don’t get is that when you remove all of that apparently there are still things to fight over.
Like …
“Mom, she’s breathing really hard”
Me-“don’t sit so close that she can hear you breathing”
“I can hear her from the other room”
Me-“call 911, I’m about to commit a double homicide…who wants to go first?”
breathing… sitting… walking… sleeping…
You name it; it has been the start of a headache fight this week.
The love they have for one another while they are apart is lost once reunited. Along with part of my voice. And sanity.
So, if someone tries to reach me and I don’t respond… I’m in my closet or jail. Hiding out…
until August.
i don’t blame you at all. got room in that closet? it’s summer break. both teens, 13 and 15 years old, home for two months, ALL DAY LONG. Fighting, arguing, slamming doors, for the stupidest crap ever. OMG. Again, got room in that closet? I’ll bring snacks.
As long as you bring refreshments 😉
