I know Wordless Wednesday means no words.
But I talk way too much for that π
My Gramma Bonnie Β has been gone for a little over two years. Not a day goes by that I don’t think of her. I called her almost daily. She was the biggest fan of Team Duncan, and I know she’s still cheering us on from above.
These are some pictures I took last Summer of the hydrangeas at my grandparents house. A month later my Grampa sold the house and moved ‘into town’ so he would be closer to family. I’m so glad I took these pictures… I just wish I’d have taken theΒ bush….for real.
Gramma Bonnie sounds wonderful! I lost my Mom in 2007, and I’m pretty sure she enjoys being able to watch over all of us at once π
The flowers are so beautiful. Have you ever thought about asking the new owners if you could take one of the plants? Or, will hydrangeas root from a cutting? I’m glad you added words to it π
Caroline, she was my best friend. Loved me, encouraged me, and helped me become the person I am today. I have an extended post on her waiting to be published on her birthday π
I tried rooting some of the cuttings I took from it last year but it didn’t work π and because we move around so much it’s even harder to transplant that stuff and take it with us. The pictures will live forever, through every season, so I’m glad I took them π
My sisters and I bought our Mom a hydrangea when my Gramma passed away so that she could plant it at her house and see it everyday, knowing her Mom was still with her, so once B ‘retires’ I’ll make sure I have some of that one to plant at my house so I can think of both my Mom AND Gramma.
She sounds like such a great woman. I’m looking forward to reading the post about her! Very cool about the hydrangea for your Mom! I think that is such a special way to honor your grandmother, and pass on a tradition to your girls too π
The traditions being passed down to my girls are what I treasure the most π
