Pulled Pork Philly Cheese Steaks, YUM!!

I love a good cheese steak. I also love a good pulled pork sandwich. So I decided to incorporate the two.
I started by slow cooking my pork roast in the crock-pot for about 6 hours. I seasoned my pork roast with salt, pepper, and garlic powder to taste.
During the last 20 minutes of cooking time I sauteed some onions, bell peppers, and mushrooms. I didn’t use any butter, which is a shock in this house since butter finds its way into a lot of recipes here. The reason I left it out because the peppers I used were frozen and the mushrooms were canned and would contribute enogh liquid to keep them from sticking to the pan.

While the veggies were heating through I got the rolls for the sandwiches ready by putting a couple of slices of provolone cheese on them. I set those aside and pulled some of the pork from the crock pot, shredded it with a fork and then piled some onto the bun, added some veggies, then splashed it with some tobasco ๐Ÿ˜‰

You could add bbq sauce to your pork if you’d like, or serve this with hamburger buns. I’m sure that any way you decide to serve yours will be yummy!
This was a super easy dinner to throw together, and the left over pork is going to be used for another night, making it two easy dinners!

What are some things you like to make in the crock pot for easy meals? Or have you made your own version of something you you love? Please share, I’m always looking for new recipes!

Now that looks GOOD… I just recently started making pulled pork in my crock pot and I have to say it was a lot easier than I ever thought it would be… Your husband said YOU were getting more traffic than him today, now I can see why. He needs to step up his game a little bit! ๐Ÿ˜‰

Thank You!! Crock pots are the best! I love that I can just throw stuff in there in the morning and either have a meal ready to eat by dinner time, or with a few minutes extra prep it’s done.
Oh and I should have known when he talked about HIS recipe that he’s planning to post in a few days that it had nothing to do with ‘helping out’ by making dinner for me ๐Ÿ˜‰ So he’s definitely stepping up his game in the near future. You’ll have to come back and check his out, it’s a fun one to do with the kids too!
If you make this please let me know how yours turns out, or what you add to it ๐Ÿ™‚
